💰Costs: bus to Paignton £2

£181.10 train to Hoylake. (This includes a return - so I can come back and finish the trail)

£6.10 eggs & bacon local cafe.

Subjective feeling out of 10 on:

Enjoyment: 2/10

Fatigue: 5/10

Ease of terrain: 7/10

⭐️Highlights: getting a call from the dentist. They have a cancellation for 4.10pm today. If I get off at the earliest station at 4:05. It will take me five minutes to walk to the dentist. 🦷 🥳

🏔️Challenges: train delayes. Thought I would miss my connection in Birmingham (which I did). Very stressful. But was told to stay on the train still Stratford, and then I’ll be able to pick up the Liverpool service from there. Which worked out well 🙏

and then the next train got delayed for half an hour. So I missed my next connection to the Wirral. Joy of rail travel in the UK.

Then all the trains to the Wirral got cancelled. So I walked to Moorfields and now on bus replacement services. Massive queue. But got on the first bus.

🚝 due to the train delays. I’ve missed my 🦷appointment and there are no Dentist in tomorrow so I’m gonna have to wait until Thursday.

💭Thoughts: it’s only an extra couple of pounds to book an open return ticket. So as soon as I got my tooth fixed, I’ll head back to the trail.

🏔️Challenges: deciding when to travel back to Devon. The longer I’m at home the harder it is to leave and if I don’t leave soon. I may not return!

💭Thoughts: I’ve run out of prescription iron medication and I wasn’t I will get a doctors appointment to get my blood checked. I can buy iron supplements but they’re not gonna be as strong as the stuff I’ve been on. So not sure how that’s gonna impact me. Also not sure when I want to finish and how much to push/ or not push myself. It would be nice to be home for my birthday 🎁 🎉🎂🎈. But I’ll have to play things by ear.

⭐️Highlights: deciding to book a bed. I couldn’t face another night of wild camping. Plus, after being wet all day. I just wanted to get warm and not flaff about with wild camping.

🏔️Challenges: I finish my antibiotics for my tooth today. But I still feel as though the left side of my face is infected. Hence why I want a good night sleep tonight.

💭Thoughts: the first part of the morning sucked. It was not pretty at all walking through Torquay. Do not want to visit there again.

The afternoon was so much better. Couldn’t see much due to the mist and the rain. But the walking was good, nice forest paths. Plus, I’ve done a good distance today and pleased with how far I’ve come.

Day 34 🥾South West Coast Path 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, UK National Trail 🇬🇧 📍Supported by ZOLEO @zoleolifeeurope #ChallengeWithZoleo

Start time: 9am

To: 2.5 miles before Branscombe

End time: 8.30pm

🥾Miles: 21.6

🦶Steps:44,387

Total distance: 531/630. 84% done ✅

💰Costs: £6 ferry ⛴️

Subjective feeling out of 10 on:

Enjoyment: 7/10 - the whole tooth 🦷 hing is a bit annoying. But as I’ve been through it once already, I’m not as paranoid about it as I known what to expect.

Fatigue: 3/10 - just started my period so I’ll be great for about two days and then everything will drop off the face of the Earth.

Ease of terrain: 4/10 - Strong today. Did some good miles.

⭐️Highlights: seeing the Geoneedle. bumping into Chris at the ferry ⛴️ fun to catch up. I really enjoyed the promenade walking, being next to the sea and seeing the trains go past.

🏔️Challenges: I finished my last antibiotic yesterday. But today when I press on my face, it still feels swollen. So I think it’s still infected. I’m not sure the antibiotics have done their job.

📞I called my dentist & my doctor to see if I can get an appointment over the phone or on Skype to see if I can get some more antibiotics. But that’s not possible.

🦷 I popped into Dentist surgery but they weren’t able to see me, I’m not overly concerned. But I am in a little bit of pain but nothing that painkiller doesn’t sort out.

👀I think I’m just gonna keep an eye on it for the time being and make sure that it doesn’t swell up.

💭Thoughts: I’m making good time and good progress. Depending on what time I finish on Monday. If I can finish on Monday!! I can make it back home by the evening so I’ll wake up in my bed my birthday that is the plan to finish on the 9th of September. Let’s see how the next few days go.
